7 Ways Jesus Reverses the Curse From Eden

Posted by Luke J. Wilson on 8th April 2023 in Easter | Easter, crucifixion, gospel, kingdom of god, curse, genesis, creation
...fixed the heavens was fixed with nails; He that bore up the earth was borne up on a tree; the Lord of all was subjected to ignominy in a naked body-God put to death! the King of Israel slain with Israel's right hand! Alas for the new wickedness of the new murder! The Lord was exposed with naked body: He was not deemed worthy even of covering; and, in order that He might not be seen, the luminaries turned away, and the day became darkened because they slew God, who hung naked on the tree. It was not the body of our Lord that the luminaries covered with darkness when they set, but the eyes of men. For, because the people quaked not, the earth quaked; because they...

...bend, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.” This demonstrates the early integration of Pauline theology into Christian liturgy and devotion. The explicit use of Holy Scripture highlights the centrality of Christ’s lordship in early Christian belief, even before the formal canonisation of the New Testament. 4. A Sacred Object for Protection and Proclamation The amulet, containing sacred text, was likely carried as a personal object of devotion and spiritual protection. Such items underscore the blend of Christian faith with ancient traditions of carrying protective talismans. This use of t...

So, where are we going?

Posted by Luke J. Wilson on 10th April 2014 in Judgement | judgement, hell, Revelations, Jesus, Great White Throne
...On judgement ...there is only the Spiritual realm, ...and to which one either serves God in heaven or resides in hell awaiting Judgment. Is it as simple as that? This is an actual quote from someone during an online discussion on the subject, but this is not anything against who ever said it, but rather a response to the prevailing view behind it that people generally seem to adhere to. The topic of Hell in itself is a rather large subject that is much more complex that you might initially think, and is a topic I intend to cover here soon as a series. Anyway, back to the subject at hand. A lot of Christians would say that hell is the 'final destin...

?️ How Do I Become a Christian? A message for Muslims seeking to understand the way of Christ

...Father in heaven.” (Matthew 10:32) There are Christians who will walk with you, pray with you, and protect your journey. You’re not alone. 6. A Simple Prayer to Begin You don’t need fancy words. You can speak to God from your heart. Here’s a simple example: “God, I believe You are the one true God. I believe that Jesus is Your Son, that He died for my sins and rose again. Please forgive me. I turn away from my old life and ask You to make me new. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to follow You every day. Thank You for loving me and saving me. Amen.” You Are Loved Jesus says: “Whoever comes to me I will never drive away....

Was the omniscience of God a developed idea?

...down from heaven; he sees all humankind." — Psalm 33:13 Maybe this where Angels play their role; as in, they are all over the Earth reporting back to the Lord about what they see and hear, so that he can act on situations — as messengers not only from God, but also to God? Then you also have Proverbs 15:3 saying "The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good" which does sound similar to the thought behind the Chronicles verse, and so is probably confirms that it is more of a poetic way of expressing what we would now just call "omniscience." At the moment I can't think of any other places off the top of...

What Really Happened at Nicaea?

My new book is out now!
Myth, History, and the Council That Shaped Christianity

For over 1,700 years, the Council of Nicaea (AD 325) has been burdened with claims that refuse to die. That Emperor Constantine invented the Trinity. That the divinity of Jesus was decided by political vote. That the Bible was assembled to suit imperial power. That Christianity reshaped itself by absorbing pagan ideas.

This book subjects those claims to serious historical scrutiny.
